2. Should I increase the dose from 2 capsules twice a day if my symptoms don’t improve?

No, there is no need to increase your dosage to achieve desired results. In clinical trials, the majority of women saw improvements in approximately 3 weeks, with results ranging anywhere between 2 days to 8 weeks. Women with more advanced menopausal symptoms typically take longer to improve and may need to look at other areas of their health in conjunction with taking Femmenessence.

3. My symptoms stopped with Femmenessence and now many months later have come back! Do I need to increase the dose?

No, in fact you should halve the dose. Because your body, after being on Femmenessence for some time, has achieved balance (and thus stopped your symptoms initially) the higher dose you are still taking is now too much for your body and over stimulating. By reducing to a lower maintenance dose you will be providing your body with the correct dose to support your now improved hormone balance.

4. Is Femmenessence contraindicated with other medications or over-the-counter medications?

Femmenessence is not recommended for individuals who have been prescribed or are currently taking Tamoxifen or any medications used to suppress hormone production.

5. What if I have had a history of hormone-dependent cancer, such as breast cancer?

Although Femmenessence does not introduce any hormones into the body (rather it supports your body’s own production of hormones), it is not recommended for individuals who have had a history of hormone-dependent cancer unless you are working with a doctor. For more guidance on how to use Femmenessence in this situation please contact our medical.team@symphonynaturalhealth.com or use our find a doctor search feature for us to find you a practitioner who specializes in oncology and using Femmenessence.

6. Can I take Femmenessence with my hypothyroid medication?

Yes. We recommend starting with a light dose and increasing to a standard dose over 2 to 4 weeks. Initially, some women may experience symptoms associated with too much thyroid medication. If this is the case, discuss with your doctor the possibility of reducing your medication since taking Femmenessence may reduce your need for hypothyroid medication*. Be sure to take Femmenessence 1 hour before or after taking thyroid medication.

Please note Femmenessence can also be used to support hyperthyroid under the strict guidance of a doctor.

7. Can I take Femmenessence if I am taking Hormone Replacement Therapy or Bio-Identical Hormones?

Yes. However it is imperative that you work with your doctor to develop a protocol that is right for you. Please feel free to contact our medical.team@symphonynaturalhealth.com for additional information or for them to talk to your doctor.

8. If Femmenessence is managing my menopausal symptoms should I reduce or discontinue use of hormone replacement therapy?

Reducing or discontinuing your hormone replacement therapy should be done only under the supervision of your doctor. The weaning period is usually 3-4 months. Start with a standard dose of MacaLife of 2 caps twice daily. You may experience some of the short-term symptoms listed above or other symptoms associated with an excessive dose of Hormone Replacement Therapy. During the first month, you may be able to reduce your dose of hormone replacement therapy by as much as 1/4 or 1/3 and continue with a similar reduction each month. This gradual weaning process can continue for 3-4 months as your body supports your own hormone production and reduces its need for direct hormone therapy. Please note this does not always result in women coming completely off hormone therapy. You should work with your doctor throughout the process.

If you have additional questions not answered above, please call Natural Health International at (888) 668-3661 or email medical.team@symphonynaturalhealth.com. Our customer service team and medical staff are here to support you.

9. What if I have had a hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy?

This is often a situation referred to as surgical menopause. In this instance, Femmenessence MacaPause is the appropriate choice. Although you no longer have active tissue from the uterus or ovaries to manufacture estrogen, there are other tissues that can produce estrogen which can be optimized over a period of time. It is recommended that you trial Femmenessence MacaPause for at least 4 months to determine its long term benefit for you.

Herbatonin

1. Can I take Herbatonin0.3mg long term?

Yes, Herbatonin®0.3mg is designed for long term use, specifically as an anti-oxidant.

2. Can I use Herbatonin® with my child?

As per the labeling on our boxes we do not recommend the use of melatonin with children under the age of 18. Children under the age of 18 naturally produce 2-3 times more melatonin than an adult.

Melatonin is a hormone that our body produces naturally. Our body triggers its own production when it registers darkness. This happens through the retina in the eye, which signals the body’s own production of melatonin when it is in darkness. This means that if your child is watching television, playing on the computer, or have a night light on, close to bed time, their body will not trigger its own melatonin production. For this reason we always recommend that you try putting them to sleep in darkness and doing relaxation/meditation exercises to support their body’s own production of melatonin.

In addition, if your child exercises in the evening sometimes cortisol production can peak late at night, impacting their sleep cycle making it hard to fall asleep. If they consume large amounts of sugars through food or soda, it can disrupt their blood sugar and spike energy production late at night again making it hard to fall asleep.

If after trying the above you still decide to use melatonin with your child we suggest working with your doctor closely. Please also feel free to contact our medical.team@symphonynaturalhealth.com for further support.
